Last year, I began working with one of my all-time favourite bands, China Drum.
I had reached out on social media to the band after seeing they had started writing and recording again. This resulted in me illustrating, designing, and animating lyric videos for all 14 songs on their comeback album, 'One Moment Please'.
Adam from the band sent over all the demos for their album as they were finalising the tracks so I could start putting some ideas together inspired by the music and lyrics. I sent over three rough drafts for each song, from which they chose their favourites for me to finalise.
Originally this was a 'digital only' release on Bandcamp, Apple Music and Spotify and I created an animated version of the album cover. Due to such a high demand from fans, I adapted the artwork for a Vinyl and CD release too. The physical limitations of vinyl meant that not all 14 tracks would fit so I modified the artwork to reflect this.
To support the release of the album I was also asked to turn some of the artworks into t-shirts, posters and skateboards too.

When we first had the idea of putting together a brand-new album, we knew it had to be special, special tunes, special subjects, and special meanings. But, when Will showed us his portfolio, we were very impressed, so much so, we presented Will with couple of new tunes, including a brief description and lyric sheet.
Very speedily Will produced a few “rough” ideas and thoughts, which were very difficult to single out and choose the one to go with because… well, they were all so bloody fantastic! So, we asked if Will could do the whole album’s artwork, each track had an individual artwork piece, and each individual piece in turn, came together as the “front cover” art.
Also, Will made an individual lyric animation video for each song on the album, which we could then post on all our social media sites & YouTube, we found this a brilliant way to promote the album with something that could be watched and listened to.
We absolutely love the artwork and animations Will produced, his whole professional approach and artistic ability ran seamlessly alongside his willingness to liaise with our merchandise printers, Vinyl & CD pressing companies.
Will was always incredibly approachable during this project and his work was always to the highest standard. Will obviously enjoys his work and this, together with his awesome talent, is a sure way to be one of the best in the business.
